We are growing and we are seeking an experienced Account Manager to add to the Spurrier Group Media Intelligence team. Founded in 1996, Spurrier Group is a boutique agency that employs senior-level people with decades of experience in consumer research, marketing strategy, advertising, branding, and media planning/buying. Our staff hails from some of the top agencies in the country. We work with regional, national, and international agencies and clients. This is an in-office position.

We are actively looking for an Account Manager who has a media background and can serve as the day-to-day liaison between Spurrier Group and our creative agency partners. They will be responsible for ensuring that the agency is meeting the client’s needs and working with all the key functions that go into creating the agency’s output. They will be solving problems, managing internal and external communications, and driving projects to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that project deadlines and budgets are met, communicating, and seeking approval of any changes to these
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, decisions, and next actions
  • Identify ways to grow client accounts through new business opportunities
  • Candidates MUST have experience in media and an understanding of the terminology and key players in the business.
  • Responsible for managing the client relationship through effective communication, problem solving, and responding to requests

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Well organized, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Be persuasive, able to sell work and ideas, and respond positively to feedback
  • Be flexible, and able to solve problems
  • Be resilient and positive in difficult situations
  • Be able to juggle competing demands from clients, agency partners and team members
  • Have strong presentation skills

Media Buyer

We are growing and we are seeking an experienced Media Buyer to add to the Spurrier Group Media Intelligence team. Founded in 1996, Spurrier Group is a boutique agency that employs senior-level people with decades of experience in consumer research, marketing strategy, advertising, branding, and media planning/buying. Our staff hails from some of the top agencies in the country. We work with regional, national, and international agencies and clients. This is an in-office position.

We are actively looking for a Media Buyer to join the Media Intelligence Team supporting various clients within the portfolio. This is a mid to high level position that requires a minimum of 5 years buying experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with planner/strategist to determine best tactics for target audience
  • Provide costs, avails for planning purposes
  • Work with media reps to ensure access to a variety of placement options – best tactic, price, service, etc.
  • Project ratings, negotiate buys including value add, complete match reports and post-buy analysis
  • Provide updates on placements including any recommendations for optimizations
  • Keep up to date on market trends and inform team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with broadcast, OOH and print buying
  • Helpful to have digital experience – understand terminology and how it relates to all areas of media
  • Must be familiar with Freewheel (View, SBMS, Eleven), Nielsen, Comscore, SQAD, Simmons/MRI and Basecamp or similar project management system
  • Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and ability to create internal and external (client facing) presentations
  • Experience with client contact and ability to present buys, answer questions, provide ideas on tactical execution
  • Subject matter expert in one or two areas and the desire and ability to continue learning about changes in the industry – will need to be able to share with planning team and help provide direction and input – requires meeting with industry reps on a regular basis and informing team of any new learnings
  • Must be self-motivated, solutions-oriented and able to work with a team to determine how to best meet client’s needs

Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

Office Management:

  • Hospitality to visitors
  • Set-up for video conferences & on-site meetings
  • Supply ordering for office staff & conference rooms
  • Turn on TVs in the morning and off in the evening
  • Order lunches for meetings
  • Event planning – decorating & RSVPs
  • Managing IT tickets
  • Schedule Staff Meetings & provide Agenda
  • Calendar Management – Vacations & conference rooms
  • Website Management – update “Press Releases & Announcements”

Digital Team support:

  • Assist with Reports – research, exporting data, & formatting
  • Maintain the Social Media Content Calendar

Finance Team support:

  • Reconcile Facebook, Instagram, Google & Pinterest receipts monthly

New Business support:

  • Check for new business opportunities on government portals – share RFPs, pre-RFPs with team that meet our agency criteria

Qualifications:

  • Min 5 years of experience with Office Management
  • Degree in Business Management is a plus
  • Helpful to have Media Agency experience – understand the jargon and how it relates to all areas of media
  • Experience with Basecamp or similar project management system
  • Experience with client management/relationships – Ability to answer general questions & provide ideas on tactical execution
  • Must be self-motivated, efficient and pay strict attention to process, deadlines and goals
  • Must be solutions oriented and work with team to determine how to best meet client’s needs
  • Must be able to work with others in a collaborative fashion – must understand how this role fits in and affects all other roles
