The icing on the cake of a very successful 25th year in business was being ranked on Inc5000’s list of fastest-growing private companies in America. It would not have been possible without the hard work, steadfast dedication, and knowledge of our team. To top off a year of celebrating, Donna Spurrier and Jennifer Walker, Managing Director, put on their party hats and attended the Inc5000 Conference and Gala where they had the privilege to meet the country’s most esteemed investors, well-known entrepreneurs, and fellow businesses that were also celebrating their rank this year.
The pair had the advantage of listening to leaders in business like Daymond John, founder and CEO of FUBU, SharkTank investor, and author who spoke about the importance of giving back as an entrepreneur. They were inspired by headline speakers, Holly Thaggard and Amanda Baldwin, founder and CEO of Supergoop!, respectively. Their story of how they created a product that revolutionized the sunscreen industry and turned it into a multimillion-dollar business was a highlight, as was their journey as women entrepreneurs. Other speakers who impressed included Elizabeth Cutler, co-founder of Soul Cycle and Wayne Brady, producer, actor, musician, and CEO of Makin’ It Up Productions.
One opportunity that Donna seized was joining Inc. Masters, which is a next level partnership with other business leaders that goes beyond the initial celebration. It has longevity as a yearlong membership to connect with other CEOs and entrepreneurs to discuss all things business in large and small format sessions. She also wanted to extend a congratulations to one of Spurrier Group’s agency partners, Brkthru Digital, who also celebrated their place on the Inc5000 list. “We’re thrilled that one of our programmatic partners that we work with regularly is also sharing in such growth and success, which is great for our clients!”
When asked what they enjoyed most about the weekend, Donna and Jennifer said, “More than anything it was the environment and energy created by meeting like-minded people that were earnest in their goals and refused to give up. It’s an exciting part of the process in creating success.”
